The NARA announces the release of a white paper on the records management implications of Internet of Things (IoT), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI). This white paper provides a basic description of each of these technologies, examples of their various applications, and enabling factors supporting the technologies. It also describes the implications for society and culture by focusing on bias and ethics within the field of artificial intelligence. As we researched these technologies, we also considered the records management implications. The white paper contains our analysis of cognitive technologies’ potential impact on records and data management; policies and standards; and records creation, appraisal, scheduling, and transfer"
